Skinny Bones Campbell

Our monkey still hasn't gained back the weight he lost upon returning to the UK. Today I took him for a check up and he weighed in at only 11lbs 13oz. I'm glad he has gained several ounces, but I was hoping he'd have gotten back up to 12lbs by now (He was 12.5 lbs when we left the States). We are waiting for our doctor's response to this weigh-in.

For now, I'm trying not to fixate on Ivor's low weight and instead be thankful that he is growing and happy. He may be skinny, but he's developing faster than I can keep up with. His balance is improving when he sits up and he is getting better at rolling. He has already figured how to turn the wheel on his toy and how to unstick it from his tray. (He prefers to suck on the base...) Ivor now loves to squeal, coo and blow spit bubbles, but having discovered his feet, he spends quite a lot of time with his feet in his mouth.

O, how I love this skinny monkey!

The absolute best new thing- Ivor did his first proper belly laugh this weekend. Baby laughs are even better than baby smiles. I am now obsessed with trying to make Ivor laugh. I've tried a bunch of different things, but the only thing that seems to induce laughter is when I lift him over my head and wiggle my head into his belly. Apparently that particular move is just hilarious!
